Zoho's cloud storage product is WorkDrive, and the thing that confuses buyers is how the space is counted. Google and Microsoft sell storage per user — 30 GB each, 1 TB each. Zoho WorkDrive sells a shared team pool: a plan gives the whole team a combined allowance, not a per-head one. Two India-specific points. First, GST: bought through an India partner the invoice is in INR against your GSTIN and the tax is claimable as input credit, which a USD card payment on the Zoho website will not give you. Second, the shared-pool model interacts with how Indian teams actually work — a design or video team will consume most of the pool while sales consumes almost none. Size the plan on total data, not on headcount, and you will usually land a tier lower than you expected.

WorkDrive starts at ₹165 per user per month on annual billing for the Starter plan, ₹250 for Team and ₹450 for Business. Unlike Google or Microsoft, the storage is a shared team pool rather than a per-user allowance — Starter gives the whole team 1 TB, Team 3 TB, Business 5 TB.
For most Indian teams, yes — often substantially. Google Workspace Business Standard and Microsoft 365 Business Standard both bundle storage with an email and office suite, so the comparison is only fair if you need those too. If you already have email sorted and want storage alone, WorkDrive is the cheapest of the three by a clear margin.
You can buy additional storage as an add-on rather than upgrading everyone to a higher tier. This is the main advantage of the pooled model — one team accumulating large files does not force a plan change for the whole company.

Zoho operates data centres in India and account data can be provisioned in the India region. If you handle customer personal data, choose the India data centre explicitly at signup — moving an existing account between regions later is not straightforward. We set this at provisioning time.
